Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.

The comedian

Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.

A spokesman for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an review of claims about inappropriate behaviour towards young women.

The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."

A Highly Successful Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.

He has published in excess of 40 works in total, which features a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

Television and Literature

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
