The visitors had gone in front at Gillette Stadium with QB Fields scoring a five-yard touchdown to finish the Jets' first possession
But the home team responded in the second period as the rookie scored two seven-yard TDs before the running back caught a pass from Maye at the back of the end zone midway through the third quarter to extend the lead to 21 to 7
"That was a big time for him delivering, and it's been excellent for him to keep gaining experience," Maye commented on Henderson. "He wants to be great."
Justin Fields connected with John Metchie late in the third period to narrow the deficit for the visitors but Andy Borregales converted a two field goals in the final period as the home side wrapped up the triumph
