The Brazilian star Offers Sincere Sorry to Real Madrid Fans
The attacker has scored five strikes in ten domestic competition appearances so far this term.
Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr has said sorry to fans for his response when taken off in Sunday's heated El Clasico win.
He was substituted in the 72nd min and expressed his disappointment by going straight down the tunnel.
He subsequently came back to the dugout and, after his side's 2-1 victory, attempted to approach Barcelona's opposing player during unpleasant post-match exchanges.
"Today I want to say sorry to all the Madridistas for my reaction when I was substituted in the big match," he posted on social media.
"Just as I have already done during today's practice, I would like to express regret anew to my teammates, the club, and the club president.
"Occasionally passion overcomes me because I constantly desire to succeed and support my team. My winning mentality originates in the affection I feel for this club and all it symbolizes."
The player joined Real from his former club in recent years for a significant fee and has notched triple figures in more than 300 games.
But his career in the La Liga is uncertain with reports in the past few months suggesting that Real would consider permitting the young star move on if they obtained a good proposal.
When he was substituted on that day, TV coverage from coverage provider Dazn captured him stating: "Always me! I'm leaving the team! It's preferable if I leave, I'm going."
In his latest message on X, he said: "I promise to keep fighting constantly for the welfare of Real Madrid, as I have acted since the initial arrival."
