Three Lions Team Selection Revealed: Bellingham and Foden Left Out, Saka Makes Comeback
The England manager has chosen to retain the same England squad that secured victory against Andorra and delivered an impressive display in Belgrade during the previous international break, finding no place for the Real Madrid star and the Manchester City attacker in his group for the upcoming friendly against the Welsh side and the World Cup qualifier in the Baltic nation.
Despite Phil Foden pushing for a recall after regaining his top condition at Manchester City, and Bellingham having returned for his Spanish club following shoulder surgery, the head coach has opted not to selecting two of the nation's biggest offensive stars. The young midfielder has started only once for his team since his return.
The England boss has found space for Bukayo Saka, who is fully recovered and has been restored in place of his injured club colleague Noni Madueke. Jack Grealish has not received a return to the squad.

The national team coach expressed his admiration for the energy in last month's squad and seems intent on keeping the same atmosphere. The Newcastle defender, who started at the defensive flank in the 5-0 win in Belgrade, has dropped out due to a knock. Tuchel has not called up a like-for-like substitute for the Newcastle player but has selected John Stones, who had to withdraw last month. Tuchel has spoken about the Manchester City defender's importance for the national team and has suggested using him in midfield.
No spot has been found for Adam Wharton, who was called up last month but withdrew injured and was substituted by the Milan player.
Tuchel said: “It was only three weeks after the previous gathering and the last win, the latest display, so the question was why not bring the same group in because they set the standard. The focus now is on building routines out of it. We have unfortunately a couple of fitness issues at the moment with Tino and Madueke and we bring of course the Arsenal forward in to replace Madueke. The defender was a last-minute addition last time; he will stay in camp.”
