England's Head Coach Thomas Tuchel asserted that he has "no problem" with Jack Grealish following the trio did not make the Three Lions squad for forthcoming matches against Wales and Latvia.

Bellingham has not been recalled despite recovering from a shoulder injury, while Foden and Grealish also miss out despite displaying improved form with their respective clubs.

Tuchel revealed that Bellingham desired to be included of the squad, after a conversation with him via telephone.

"He is a unique talent, and for special players there can often be special rules," the coach said about the Real Madrid star, who has only started once since returning to full health.

"But we decided to maintain the simple decision of calling up the identical squad.

"Bellingham consistently merits to be here. There is the factor that he has not fully found his full rhythm again at his club - he has not completed a full game.

"He wanted to be called up. We had a telephone conversation."

Tuchel was keen to emphasize his good rapport with the midfielder following he apologized to him previously for calling his conduct during a match as "repulsive" in a televised interview.

The German explained that he used the words "without meaning to" and promised to be more cautious going forward.

When asked if he had a problem with Bellingham, he responded: "None. There is no issue either with Foden or Jack Grealish.

"Phil is back to impacting and shaping games for his club. Grealish is very close to returning to the top form of himself.

"There exists no personal issue."

Saka replacing the hurt Noni Madueke is the sole alteration to last month's team, with Loftus-Cheek and Jarell Quansah keeping their spots after joining as last-minute call-ups last month due to fitness concerns.

The Three Lions face Wales in a friendly at Wembley Stadium on this Thursday before a World Cup qualifier in Riga on 14 October.

If the team triumph in Latvia, they will require a maximum of two points from their remaining two qualifiers - against Serbia and Albania in November - to secure a place in the upcoming World Cup in North America.

Strong Performance Under Tuchel
