Shot-stopper

Alphonse Areola (West Ham): West Ham might have been six goals down at Bournemouth but for him. Crucial performance, delivered and demonstrated some quality. Excellent keeping to secure a 2-2 draw. Defeat might have ruined their campaign.

Backline

Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace): He's in the running for player of the season. Fans mention Arsenal's squad. He is the standout player by a country mile.

Murillo (Nottingham Forest): You'd have been a mad supporter to say 'Murillo will score and we overcome Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield'. You'd have got massive odds on that. He performed brilliantly. He's becoming a powerhouse. He proves to be a challenge. I'm happy to observe his form like last season.

Malick Thiaw (Newcastle): I observed him multiple matches the previous season in Italy for AC Milan and he was getting killled from his faults. Yet now he's impressed greatly. He's been great strength and forceful and looks elegant. It seems he has secured a ideal club.

Ferdi Kadioglu (Brighton): Not typically a left-back, rather a attacking-minded going forward. He has proven to be a excellent acquisition for Brighton. Few are astonished at them finding another gem out of nowhere? Many felt after selling Pervis Estupinan it was odd but the Seagulls understand more than us.

Engine room

Sander Berge (Fulham) and Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest): Similar players and they make it for the shared purpose. Their teams won, everyone will talk about the goalscorers, but lacking these players the squads falter. They are so good. They break up play, they support going forward.

Eberechi Eze (Arsenal): The standout performer. Numerous supporters, including my son, had doubts about his ability as the man to secure victory. Three goals in the north London derby and currently fans desire to erect a monument of him. Scoring, calmness, he ran the show. The standout individual on the pitch.

Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa): Possibly the only point of agreement with Thomas Tuchel on - he has reached a point now where it will prove very difficult to bench him. I felt he began well this campaign, I think he was a little bit entitled and thought he maybe secure a transfer to Chelsea, and probably wanted that, but he seems to have found his footing. Two great goals clearly versus Leeds helped his club when trailing. He made the impact.

Strikers

Callum Wilson (West Ham): I noted he seemed lacking his usual standard. It seemed his pace had gone. But wow. Simply phenomenal. He shone. Brilliant in his play and with his two finishes.

Harvey Barnes (Newcastle): A really interesting player. He performs strongly, often more effective when introduced, but Anthony Gordon has an injury so he is required to feature. He failed to convert a great opportunity against Manchester City at 0-0 with his most straightforward effort. But to have the psychological strength to enter into tough scenarios and get a brace was remarkable.

Manager

Sean Dyche (Nottingham Forest): He comes in and outperforms Arne Slot. A superb tactical approach. It might have been several more for Forest and nobody could have argued.
